About the Wine

Tasting Notes

Beautifully dark, deep and intense, the wine speaks of both the Mitjavile style (of Tertre Roteboeuf) and the southern Rhone. The texture sparkles with incredible delineation and finely tuned balance, with succulent liqueured fruits, incredible freshness and an alluring use of luxurious oak toast. Cherry, strawberry, cassis, and blackberry shine over exotic spices and garrigue, with vanillin from the oak playing countermelody in the background. There is power here, but the flavors glide across the palate so elegantly. All of the wines done by the Mitjavile family have this certain chutzpah - its hard to describe, but the energy and personality found in this wine is incredible, and almost never found in wines of this price point.
